Getting an opportunity to look back and reflect on 2014 and just how ridiculously full the year was. I wanted to just wanted to hit some of the highlights!
Leading at 1st movement. I got the opportunity to lead worship for a new service in Roanoke on Tuesday evenings. It was great to meet new people and lead that band and group in worship.
Leading at vtONE. If you are not familiar with vtONE, it’s a night of worship at Virginia Tech and all the campus ministries come together. I have gotten to sing at it before but being able to lead with my Northstar band was pretty fun.
Easter. Jacob Moyer did so great!
Hitting over a million spotify streams…um what?! Not even sure what to say about that.
Said Goodbye to way to many people at Northstar! Such a sad but joyful time of the year when people move on from Blacksburg, tons did so in 2014. 🙂
Camp Chof awkward handhold. I’ve gotten to lead worship a few times at the same Jr. Camp that I went to 2-5th grade. It is always sweaty, yell-y fun. This picture captured what being a 10 year old boy was like when being asked to hold a girls hand during a group game. (He needs his cooties shot)
Beach Week – Girls mildly obsessed with Daniel Flynn. Not only did I get to spend a week at Myrtle Beach, leading worship for Jr/Sr High students, I got to do it with an awesome group of guys. The icing on top was watching the girls develop ‘Harry Styles-esque’ crushes on Mr. Flynn, and then seeing their sad faces when they found out he had a wife already.
Leading at Virginia Tech CRU Retreat. Northstar has led at CRU fall retreat the past few years. It has been an honor to be a part of that special weekend.
Preparing to open for rend collective!? I still am not sure how I am getting to do this! Excited for January.
Met Mountain Man. (yes he speaks real slow) Harpers 1st day of school.
Getting to Baptize Esther –Esther was in the youth group here in Blacksburg when I first started at Northstar, she moved away an now is a Jr at Tech and loves Jesus a lot. It was very cool to see that and be a part of that full circle!
Maggie and Tim got hitched. A great gal and previous housemate of ours, Maggie got married to a great guy Tim. Harper was a flower girl and I got to do their counseling and sang in the wedding. Such a great day!
2014 is gone and 2015 will be in full sprint very shortly. Looking back is the easiest way to see God’s movement in my life. It has been a great year, can’t wait to see what happens in 2015!
